About Me!
I am the youngest son of two incredible parents that love me, support me and push me to the be the best I can be. I could never forget my brothers. They are my examples of how life should be lived, and I wouldn’t trade them for anything. My parents had all boys but shoutout to all my sisters that adopted me and loved me as their own even thought we didn’t have the same parents and live in the same house.
Before I went off to school for the first time, my mom was home everyday. She was my first teacher, and made sure I was well prepared before I even started school. I spent two years at New Haven Public Schools before I moved to Hamden, and I finished my education there when I graduated in 2018! Now I’m currently in the great city of Baltimore at the illustrious Morgan State University embarking on this next chapter of my life. While I have seen many changes, some things have always remained the same throughout my entire life.
If I let my mom tell it, I have been singing my entire life, but I learned it from her, so the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree I guess. I went along with her to her choir and worship rehearsals, and as far back as I can remember, I have always loved to sing. In fact, the rule at my church when I was a kid was that new choir members had to be at least five years old to sing on the children choir. Let me tell you, that it was hard to wait, but I’ve been with that same group of amazing singers since I was five years old. I love and appreciate them. I so look forward to being there to experience and see the incredible things that God has in store for them and the places He is taking them to.
When I was eight, I had to step into the role as chaplain of the children choir. My function was to intercede for our music ministry, and being so young I know that there was no way I could have done that without God. At the beginning of 2016 the Children Choir morphed into the Warmen of Worship. I will mention that I’ve always had dreams of leading worship, but in my mind the reality of that was years away, like around age 30, but God had other plans.
Continuing along that storyline, I have been a member of Christian Union Full Gospel Outreach Ministries, located in West Haven, Connecticut my entire life. I’ve been singing all my life. I’ve been in church all my life. Why? Because church is me and I am church. It’s as simple as that. I don’t know what anyone ever saw in me when I was so young, but for every stage production at our church, it was just common knowledge that I was going to play the role of the preacher. But then again, I was a churchy kid. When I was at home I would throw on a robe, and preach a whole service in my room. No joke, I would work the altar and everything. It wasn’t even a game at that point, it was a foreshadowing of what my life was going to become. At the time, I was not aware that my life was actually heading in that direction, but nevertheless here I am today. So if you need a worshipper, a prayer warrior or a “preacher” at your church, in your life, at your event, look no further. I’m not ordained y’all, that’s why I put it in quotes.Y’all be blessed and enjoy the website. Love y’all and I mean it!
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” Through it all God still gets the glory, so I will glorify in my infirmity, whatever it may be, knowing that “all things work together for the good of them that love the Lord and are the called according to His purpose”. Stop ignoring your purpose and let God work things for your good. He just wants to prosper you.
